Nicola is a freelance artist, illustrator and designer based in Nottingham, UK. From a Fine Art background (Diploma and Hons Degree) her work draws on strong traditional art skills of drawings and painting, executed with a high dose of imagination and flair.

Nicola works in both traditional and digital methods in accordance with the requirements of individual projects, although all work begins life with hand drawn sketches. From here it is developed to completion with pen and ink, watercolour, acrylic, goache or digital means.

Nicola's work has been used for book illustration, children's and adult, magazine and academic journal both cover and interior art, breweries, product labels, logos, cards and beyond.

Clients include - RANDOMHOUSE, NEW LAW JOURNAL, ORIGIN PUBLISHING, FLORIS BOOKS, GOMER PRESS, CARLTON BOOKS, BERTELSMANN NY

When time permits she also produces original paintings on canvas usually of a sinister nature and has exhibited her work both in solo shows and as part of a group. Nicola also enjoys music- particularly the blues, wine- preferably red, and coffee, unsweetened.
